Hola amigos!

We are here safe and sound! Here are a few pictures of our first two days.
We've done a lot of walking getting to know the lay of the land. Miraflores is extremely secure, and there seem to be helpful security guards on every corner- whether just smiling at us, pointing out a ramp for the stroller, or offering to hail a taxi. People are out at all times running and enjoying the beach promenade ("malecon").

Last night we visited Parque Kennedy, where the girls quickly made friends and learned to shout "pase!" (GO!) on the merry-go-round.

This morning we spent a couple hours at the beach (after taking the long path & stairwells down the cliff), and especially enjoyed the free library on the beach where the kids found books to enjoy.

We are getting settled in at home as well- buying groceries, ordering water, getting to know our doorman and enjoying the building amenities- especially the children's room.

  1. So fun!! Great to see a glimpse of your first week. Love the shot of the long path to the beach. Great perspective on what it takes to enjoy the ocean there!! How many products from home do you recognize on the grocery shelves? I see Fruit Loops!! :) Praying for you all, and eager for more stories and photos.

  2. OK ... I am So-o-o-o-o jealous!! I assume my ticket to come down for a weekend is in the mail?

What a GREAT idea and way to make those of us in the snow and cold jealous and not like you. Seriously, great shots! The water looks especially beautiful ... much cleaner than Mexico. :-)

    Enjoy!
