While we were in the Amazon, we learned that Mick Jagger had been at our rainforest lodge the week before. This morning we read in the newspaper that Bono visited Machu Picchu with his family yesterday. According to the article, he was overheard "congratulating his kids for having seen one of the most magnificent marvels of the world." I guess we should congratulate our kids for seeing it before Bono's.
This trip has been a constant state of "pinch me, is this really happening?" We cannot say enough how amazing blessed and humbled we feel to be having these experiences.
PS- We changed our flights and will be home a week later than planned. (Come on, if there were 4 award tickets available together on such short notice, it was meant to be, right?!)
