We found the "Silly Monkeys"

... at the zoo! "Parque de las Leyendas" is a huge zoo, but with a main focus on animals found in Peru. The park is divided into distinct regions to replicate Jungle, Sierra, and Coast, and then there's an international area for 'everything else.' In the Jungle area, we found all the elusive animals we hoped to see on our real jungle trip!

We also chose to go on this day because there was a parade celebrating "Carnivales," with dancers from different areas of Peru and neighboring countries performing traditional dances from their cultures.
