Despite the many American restaurants chains we've noticed around here, we thought it would be great to be able to say we lived here for 2 months and never ate at one of them. There seems to be a status association with eating at the American chains, so they are actually quite popular with locals. TGIFridays, Chili's, KFC, and Dunkin Donuts are all over. There are also plenty of Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns. For example, notice the picture below; within the same intersection there was a Tony Roma's, TGIFridays, McDonalds, Starbucks, and Chili's.

For the record, we love Peruvian food and are trying as many traditional dishes as we can find. But... night after night of passing pizza delivery boys in our lobby, the smells finally got the better of us. No price break on Papa John's in Peru, but it was delicious! :)

Too funny! Looks like it's not just a fast food nation, but fast food world!
