Ocean Grove and the Bellarine Peninsula

Southwest of Melbourne is the Bellarine Peninsula, known for family-friendly seaside villages and great food and wine. We stayed in Ocean Grove with our Australian Servas hosts for three nights. We shared many memories and laughs, and explored the Bellarine. We shared delicious meals- the highlight being fresh snapper on Good Friday, which our host had caught off his boat the day before. We have had amazing luck with such terrific Servas experiences.

Walking the dogs at the beach
Point Lonsdale Lighthouse
DELISH pies - the best we've had for sure!!
btw these are meat pies (British), not American dessert pies
We ate the pies at the beach while watching the surfers

A couple vineyards stops

A post-dinner concert and didgeridoo lesson.
The girls are trying to figure out how they can talk mom and dad into bringing one home.
