Sydney: Opera and Beaches

The highlight of today was the opera! Not just walking around outside the opera house, but the real deal … inside, great seats, watching Opera Australia perform Verdi’s La Traviata. Attending the opera was a “Kara thing” back when we made the plans - and required this extra stop in Sydney around the performance dates. However, from the first curtain lift, the whole family was enthralled and on the edge of our seats for the entire nearly-four-hour show. Rick left asking if there was another opera we could see when we are back in Sydney in a few weeks!
Moral of the Story: If you are going to introduce your family to opera, this is the way to do it! :)

For the first part of the day we continued hopping on and off ferries to visit beaches. We spent the morning at Manly Beach and later to Watson’s Bay for a picnic and longer hike than we had time for yesterday - and more swimming.
