Welcome to Sydney (with a 40-degree shock to our systems)

To be fair, we arrived in Sydney to a near-record-setting heat wave, but it was still a shock to our bodies, considering we had been layering-up the last couple weeks. But hooray, it was nearly 100 degrees! This week we are only in Sydney for only 3 days, but we will return for 2 weeks at the back end of our trip.

Sydney, Day 1: Brunch in the Rocks neighborhood, a walk around Circular Quay, fun at the Darling Harbour playground (especially the water features), evening picnic in the Royal Botanical Gardens, and sunset over Sydney from Mrs. Macquarie’s  Chair, with the best view of the Sydney skyline, opera house, harbour and bridge.
